First Actuarial Careers: Privacy Notice
This notice gives you information on the additional personal data that we collect about you when you use our careers website.

Why do we hold this information?
We hold this information because you have consented to us holding the information. You provided your consent by either registering on our careers website or emailing us to hear about careers opportunities.
What personal data do we hold and use?
If you email us asking to hear about future career opportunities we will collect the information you supply in that email. This will include your email address.
If you apply for a vacancy at First Actuarial you may need to register on our website. When you register we collect basic information about you including: your name, email address and one or more postal addresses. When you apply for a specific vacancy we may ask for further information. This additional information may vary according to the vacancy and what you choose to tell us. This information may include a covering letter, your CV and details of your qualifications.
If you apply for a vacancy using a different method (eg. writing to us) we will collect the information that you supply at that point.
If necessary we may approach you for further information to support any application. Any information you supply will be held as part of your application.
All the information we hold when you apply for a vacancy will come from you.
Should we consider offering you a role at First Actuarial we may need to ask for references about you. When we take up those references we may collect further data about you. This information will be held because we have a legitimate interest in collecting information to ensure you are suitable for the role we are offering.
What do we use your information for?
The information we collect on you will be used to consider your suitability to join First Actuarial. If you are successful it will be kept at part of your human resources record.
The information we collect as part of the recruitment process will not be used for any other purpose.
Who do we share information with?
The information you provide will be used by First Actuarial. Should we take up references we may need to disclose limited information to your referees.
How long do we keep your data?
If you apply for a vacancy and are unsuccessful in your application we will keep your data for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 1 year from the later of the date you applied or the date of any interview.
Should you be successful in your application then any data will be kept as part of your Human Resources record. You will be provided with further information on the data we hold on staff when you join.
If you did not apply for a specific vacancy and asked to be kept informed of future opportunities we will need your data for a maximum of 1 year.
